Troubleshooting CASE CX57C engine stall under load

I've been working with a CASE CX57C, and let me tell you, I'm getting pretty frustrated. Every time I put some load on the hydraulics, the engine just bogs down, but as soon as I ease off the controls, it springs back to life. It's really annoying!

So far, I've changed out the hydraulic oil and filter, swapped the fuel filter, and even cleaned out the fuel tank. Yesterday, I thought I had it sorted because it ran like a dream for a couple of hours. But, of course, once it warmed up, the same issue popped up again.

Has anyone else run into something like this? I'd really appreciate any advice or tips on what else I should check. I'm feeling a bit stuck here!

I've been down that road with a CX before. If it's struggling under hydraulic loads but otherwise running smoothly, I'd suggest taking a look at the hydraulic pump control solenoid or the torque limiter. Sometimes, they can get stuck or just fail, which ends up overloading the engine.

Since you've already tackled the fuel and hydraulic filters, checking those components would be my next step. And hey, it might be a good idea to do a quick pressure test too. Fingers crossed you get it sorted out soon

Why do you think the issue only shows up once the machine warms up, could it be heat affecting a sensor, valve, or fuel delivery component that works fine when cold?

It seems like you're dealing with a fuel delivery problem when the engine's under load. You should inspect the fuel pump and lines for any blockages, as well as the injection pump itself. It might also be worth looking into the governor adjustment or checking the engine compression. If heat is a factor, it could indicate that a component in the fuel system is failing.
