Are Excavators and Earthmoving Equipment Getting Too Complicated to Maintain?

Hey folks,
I’ve been working with excavators and earthmoving equipment for years, and lately, I’ve noticed something, newer machines are definitely powerful and efficient, but they bring more headaches. With all the electronics, sensors, and software, maintenance feels like solving a tech puzzle instead of fixing heavy machinery.

Back then, if something broke, you traced the issue, swapped a part, and got back to work. Now, even a small fault needs diagnostic tools or software updates or expert equipment trader for telling the issues, causing long downtime.

Honestly, older excavators still run smoother and are easier to maintain. Anyone else feel new machines are getting smarter but less practical?
